The UNGA First Committee enters its fourth and penultimate week of work. Among the delights in store for this week:  other disarmament measures and international security with a focus on the two ongoing processes with regards to  facing the challenges posed by information and communications technology (ICTs) (i.e. the Group of Governmental Experts on cyberspace and the Open-ended working group on ICTs), disarmament aspects of outer space, regional disarmament and security issues, and the disarmament machinery.  The revised indicative timetable for discussions is available here.

There are different ways to follow what is happening: watch the discussions on UN Web TV (the archived livestream from the first weeks is also available in case you missed it), and/or read Reaching Critical Will’s  First Committee Monitor reports.

Meanwhile in Vienna, the  Working Group A of the CTBTO will meet from  28 to 30 October to discuss  administrative and financial matters
