This week, the Conference on Disarmament will go back to business, and it is an understatement to say that expectations for any progress are very low. Anyway, the first part of this year’s session will run until 27 March and will be successively presided over by Algeria, Argentina and Australia. The weekly meetings schedule is available at: https://meetings.unoda.org/meeting/cd2020/.   The first plenary meeting is scheduled for Tuesday morning, be there to collect your copy of our disarmament wall planner.

On Monday afternoon, UNIDIR is hosting an event on Operationalizing Cyber Norms to explore a number of topical questions on ICTs and cyber vulnerabilities.

On Thursday, the time of the 2020 Doomsday Clock will be announced.
